Cambridge Exams at Oxford House College

Oxford House College has a selection of courses to help students learn to speak English but we now have a fantastic course to help students with their Canbridge Examinations that is used across the UK of proof that the student is able to speak a good level of English to gain entry into one of the UK’s college’s or universities. The examinations that we currently have in place at our language school in London are Cambridge Advanced English, Cambridge First Certificate and Cambridge Proficiency. We have found over the years that a lot of our students currently studying the English language take the Cambridge First Certificate Examination because it is the easiest level.

All of the universities and the colleges as well as the employers in the United Kingdom will take this fantastic qualification into account and as proof that the student applying as a high standard level of speaking English. Throughout the course in preparation for the examination every student will practice the five main parts of the paper which include grammar, listening, reading and speaking skills. We recommend that students that would like to get entry into one of the universities but can’t speak a great deal of English should take a look at the other fabulous courses our college has available to help students learn to speak English.

There are three different types of examination papers all of which are explained below.

The first one being the first certificate in English this is the easiest level of exam and is better being taken by students with an upper intermediate level of Englsih. So this also includes the student being able to deal with all different forms of communication whether it is written or spoken.

The second type of examination is the certificate in advanced English this is a much harder exam mainly to be taken by students that have an advanced level of English. Like with all of our other exams students should be able to use different form of communication clearly and confidently.

The third type of exam is of course the certificate of proficiency in English  this is the hardest Cambridge Examination that should only be taken by students with an outstanding level of English. Ones that are able to speak, read, write and listen to the language extreamly well.
