General English courses

Our general English courses will help you practice and learn more in the four main language skills which are: Speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Our general English course has been introduced to those students that already have a good knowledge of the English language but also wish to improve their speaking and listening skills and increase their vocabulary. The main aim of the general English course is to help with English in everyday situations for example going shopping.

A course book is also needed for the general English course in which you will use in every lesson; it is strongly recommended that you buy one from the library. There will be other resources that will be used during the general English course such as; audio cassettes but these will be provided by your teacher.

At the beginning of any course that you wish to start you will be given an a assignment which has to be done to assess your knowledge of English which we will then refer to which will enable us to put you in the correct group with other students that are at the same level of English.

A monthly counselling or tutorial session is available with your teacher to discuss your progress and your strengths and weaknesses within the course were your teacher will also give recommendations for further study.
A progress test also has to be taken at the end of each month, to test were you are with your reading, writing and speaking skills.
